EMBRACING YOUR SOUL’S CALLING - 3 STEPS TO ALIGN WITH YOUR SOUL PURPOSE

Greetings Luminous Souls!

Many of us embrace spirituality to discover our soul’s calling - the meaning behind our incarnation.

Why did we come here? And what is our soul purpose?

We can feel we are meant for something greater, but often we’re not sure what it is.

To uncover our greater purpose, we need to listen to the depth of our soul, the place where our passions reside. Our soul speaks to us in many ways.

We can hear the voice of our soul through the whispers of our heart.

It’s a voice of passion and inspiration.

If it feels good in your heart, your soul wants to experience it.

This is the first step to aligning with your soul purpose. Learning to hear your soul’s desires.

Discerning the voice of the ego from the voice of the soul.

The soul always speaks from love and abundance. The ego wants to prove something, to accomplish or to get validation. Once you’re able to distinguish between these two voices, you’ll start to notice patterns.

The voice of the ego wants to prove its greatness or importance.

The heart speaks from love. Its only goal is to spread love.

Your heart and soul may be pulling you towards something, an idea or a project. This pull just feels right.

You’ll just want to do the thing. The energy and intention behind these activities is your soul purpose.

Your soul would like to share energy or gifts with a specific intention, how you do it in the physical is up to you. Your soul doesn’t have a preference.

For example Jackie is a great massage therapist and Reiki master. She enjoys facilitating healing energy for people. Part of Jackie’s purpose is to share healing energy through her hands. She can find more than one way to share this intention with others.

The second step is allowing your purpose to unfold. Many are confused by this part.

This is because we try to think of our soul purpose as physical activity or job. Our soul purpose is so much more than that.

It is our soul’s gift to this world. Just like an artist who is just starting out, you may need to take a few steps or develop a few skills to fully express your soul’s purpose.

For example our soul’s purpose may be to help people through life transitions.

This may look like becoming a psychologist, a counselor or a life coach.

The road to living this purpose may require training, experience or overcoming personal challenges.

Before we can embody our purpose we are often met with personal challenges. We may need to face our fears, overcome challenges, find our voice and confidence to authentically share our energy with the world. This whole process can be looked at as developing your soul purpose.

The third step to aligning with our soul purpose staying true to our authentic expression.

Our soul energy comes through our words and actions when we are being authentic.

As soon we start being inauthentic, we tune out of our soul and tune into the ego. So how do we stay in our authentic soul expression?

We get to know ourselves. We understand what our values are, what our boundaries are and we honor them.

This takes courage and heart.

To remain true to our soul, we need to master staying in our authenticity regardless of whether we are supported by the outside environment.

We need to be aware if our values are being crossed by others. We also need to have energetic boundaries with ourselves.

What thoughts and activities do we allow? What energy are we running through our bodies? Is this in alignment with our authentic soul expression? Does it feel good in our hearts?

Once we know the difference between our soul expression and ego, we have a choice in every now moment.

Do you choose to resonate with the energy of the ego or do you choose to tame the ego so the soul is free to express itself?

Let’s use an example of a life coach.

Tara is a talented life coach and part of her soul mission is to help people through life transitions.

She does that through her words, her presence and the care she puts into her work.

Her clients feel cared for and understood.

As Tara’s business picks up she may be tempted to do long hours and back to back appointments. At this point she has a choice.

She can make sure that she is rested enough to give her clients the same quality of care

or she can just accept more appointments and go through the motions on autopilot when she is tired.

She may feel burned out and not able to be fully present with her clients.

On those days she is out of alignment with her authentic soul expression to comfort and inspire people.

When she is rested and her schedule is more spacious Tara can be present in her authentic, kind, nurturing energy.

On those days she is living her purpose. She is happiest and her clients are happy.

Soul purpose is about embodying your authentic energy that creates a ripple in the world.

Some people use their voice to speak truth and uncover what is possible, some people use their art to bring beauty through intricate paintings, others compose music that moves people and some heal through their hands.

There are numerous ways that we can embody our soul purpose. It is individual and unique. There is no right or wrong way of doing it.

It’s more of a process. A process of embracing our authentic soul energy and expressing it.

When our soul purpose is part of our daily lives, we feel alive. We feel passionate about life, excited about our future and content in the present moment.

This way of living is what many are striving for.

It is not a destination, but a process of becoming, evolving and expressing.

It is an art to remain in your authenticity and soul purpose.

It takes practice and commitment to master.
